My name is Richard Wolak and I am a Marketer, Creative Thinker, Food Critic, Writer, Radio Host and I live in Vancouver, Canada. I have always had creative ideas and have enjoyed implementing them over the years within the companies, organizations and projects that I have been involved.
I have been in marketing and sales of specialty advertising and promotional products for the past 18 years to companies and organizations.
Co-Author of three books including Cafes Vancouver (2001), Oregon’s Hot Java (1994), and Vancouver’s Best Espresso Spots (1993),
Editor and Founder of TheCafeGuide.com a website devoted to café culture around the globe (since 2001).
Publisher and Editor of VancouverFoodster.com an online magazine that I founded in July 2009 for foodies in Vancouver and beyond featuring restaurant reviews, openings, parties and interviews with local chefs, bartenders and mixologists.
Publisher and Editor of TasteandSipMagazine.com an online magazine that I founded in September 2009 for foodies featuring food, drink, culture, travel, lifestyle and more along with interviews with international chefs, bartender, mixologists, fashion designers and film directors.
I have been a Judge of Barista Championships, and Competitions of Burgers, Bagels, Pie Baking, and more, I have spoken at various community events about coffee, tea, café culture, food and the restaurant industry. Have written articles for newspapers and have been featured in many magazines, newspapers, radio and television in regards to specialty coffee, food and wine.
In my spare time you might find me having an espresso at one of Vancouver’s great coffee shops. I spend a lot of time connecting with friends, eating great food, listening to music, traveling, seeing films and walking the neighborhoods around the city.
