
My name is Richard Wolak and I am a Marketer, Creative Thinker, Author and I live in Vancouver, Canada. I have always had creative ideas and have enjoyed implementing them over the years within the companies, organizations and projects that I have been involved.
I have been involved in marketing and sales of specialty advertising and promotional products for the past 17 years to companies and organizations.
Co-Author of three books including Cafes Vancouver (2001), Oregon’s Hot Java (1994), and Vancouver’s Best Espresso Spots (1993),
Editor and Founder of TheCafeGuide.com a website devoted to café culture around the globe (since 2001), and Founder of The Café Guide Community in 2009.
Additionally, I work with restaurants and others in the hospitality industry providing marketing and social media strategies. Founder VancouverFoodster.com along with other projects.
I have interests in all aspects of marketing as well as strategic marketing, branding, advertising, design, online publishing, and social media.
Some other tidbits, I have been a Judge of a Barista Championship, have spoken at various community events about coffee, tea and café culture. Have written articles for the SCAA Chronicle and other newspapers and has been featured in many magazines, newspapers, radio and television in regards to specialty coffee and retail coffee business.
In my spare time you might find me having an espresso at one of Vancouver’s great coffee shops. I spend a lot of time connecting with friends, listening to music, seeing films and walking the neighborhoods around the city.
